In Shockwave, discipline is the key to progress, and discipline involves Consistency. We need our participants to regularly come to our classes to be able to reach their goals. Consistency is crucial for building good sport habits, seeing necessary improvements and keeping the kids motivated. To help with this, we offer choices for makeup classes so parents and kids can appreciate the value of consistency. It means that if you miss a class, you need to try to make it up so the kids don't lose their momentum. Here are the guidelines to schedule makeup sessions

STAFF CANCELATIONS DUE TO WEATHER OR FORCE MAJEURE

For absences due to staff cancelaltions because of weather or force majeure, we offer 100% makeup classes within sixty (60) days after the cancellation. Just follow these steps to guarantee your makeup class:

  1. The Participant will be automatically added to the 1st Priority Pending Makeups List, so you dont have to request us to do so

  2. Find a slot on our Makeups Slots List that corresponds to the participant's level and is convenient for you, within the next 60 days from the cancelation.

  3. Inform us of your slot selection through WhatsApp, and we will reserve and confirm it to you.

JUSTIFIED ABSENCES DUE TO CERTIFIED ILLNESS WITH PRIOR NOTICE 

For absences due to certified illness with at least 24-hour's notice, we offer 100% makeup classes within sixty (60) days after the absence. Just follow these steps to guarantee your makeup class:

  1. Inform us about the future absence with at least 24 hours' notice before the class starts by through WhatsApp, and we will include you in the 1st Priority Pending Makeups List. 

  2. Find a slot on our Makeups Slot List that corresponds to the participant's level and is convenient for you, within the next 60 days from the absence. Our MakeUps Slot List updates automatically, so you may find new slots frequently.

  3. Inform us of your slot selection through WhatsApp, and we will reserve and confirm it to you.

PLANNED ABSENCES WITH MIN 15 DAYS' PRIOR NOTICE

We do not offer makeup classes for absences differ from those previously detailed. However, we understand that there may be family or school activities that you can't miss, so as a courtesy, for these pre-planned activities, we may offer makeup classes on the day of the notification and up to 30 days after the absence, as long as there are available slots in the classes. Just follow these steps to opt for a makeup class in these cases:

  1. Inform us about the future absence with at least 15 days' notice before the class starts through WhatsApp and we will include you in the 2nd Priority Pending Makeup List. 

  2. Find a slot on our Makeups Slot List that corresponds to the participant's level and is convenient for you within the date of the notice and 60 days from the absence, meaning that you can schedule before the planned absence. Please keep in mind that as a second priority make up, you need to find your makeup whithin 24 hours before the makeup schedule option.

  3. Inform us of your slot selection through WhatsApp, and we will reserve and confirm it to you.

ABSENCES WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE (JUSTIFIED OR NOT)

In this case we do not offer make-up classes. Sorry. The class was given and your space actually attended.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTES

  • Shockwave provides the tools, but it's the responsibility of parents and/or the participant to find available makeup slots and inform Shockwave Staff to reserve a spot.

  • If the participant fails to find and schedule a makeup within the given timeframe, the makeup option will no longer be available. Missed classes won't result in tuition credits, prorations, refunds, or discounts.

  • Monthly tuition covers the reserved space in the group, not individual attendance. Payment is required in full regardless of absences, and you should categorize your absence accordingly.

  • Regardless of the circumstances, missed classes won't lead to tuition credits, prorations, refunds, or discounts.

  • Once the makeup class is scheduled, it can't be reversed, and Shockwave wont reschedule it again, so please make sure about your availability for such make up schedule.

  • If you miss a scheduled makeup class, there won't be an opportunity for an additional makeup.

  • Shockwave reserves the right to schedule makeups in different types of classes, such as athletic lessons, conferences, video-conferences, video-analysis meetings, and more.

  • Only participants who are properly registered in our program are eligible to attend make-up classes. If a participant withdraws, they will not be able to reschedule their miossed sessions.
